It could be used in conjunction with a separate pump to make a power shower but it can work equally well with a combi boiler and produce a very good flow. It's certainly better than a £100 B&Q electric shower in my experience.

If it doesn't, either the boiler has insufficient capacity or the incoming water main is old and furred up. With an average power shower, you would be experiencing about 1.5 bar pressure, with a mains fed shower this is going to be closer to 3 bar.

Nov 30, 2011 · If you want to increase the pressure, use a spray with fewer/smaller holes. If you want to increase the flow, buy a bigger boiler, or turn the water temperature down on the boiler. Your combi boiler is about 3x better than the best electric shower you can buy. A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Jan 20, 2011 · The boiler is heating the water, then the water leaving the boiler gets too hot so the boiler shuts down until water leaving the boiler is cool again, and then cycles. One solution is to turn DOWN the required temperature of the water. This will stop the boiler overheating the water. This won't stop it, as the plate is blocked on the system side.

If I turn hot water on briefly and then off again, this sometimes seems to kick the heating into life - the burner switches to a much higher power, and the radiators get up to temperature quickly as they are supposed to.

The shower should be ideal if you're mains cold water flow rate is good. This'll get rid of all tanks and cylinders.
