With combi's you can use hot and cold taps together, you only get problems on older boilers where the diverter valve diaphragm has become stretched. Condensing Combi boilers have to be fitted now by law, as they are energy efficient. Combi boilers are good if installed correctly will last for many years.

Apr 12, 2008 · I've never worked on the 30HE - they're an average boiler, average price and will do the job - if you find a good engineer that doesn't charge the earth for repairs then you shouldn't have a problem. I have never recommended Ideal and would always recommend Baxi, Potterton, Worcester or Vaillant.
